Haleigh-Rain Eady- Jazz, Modern & Hip Hop

Haleigh-Rain Eady began her dance journey at the age of 6 at Burlington Dance Company. She is an alumni of the competitive program and is thrilled to be returning as a member of the faculty! Pursuing a professional career in dance, Haleigh attended Quinte Ballet School of Canada, and is a graduate of Ballet Jorgen’s Dance Performance Studies Program through George Brown College. During her time there, She had the opportunity to perform in The Velveteen Rabbit and The Nutcracker. Upon graduation, Haleigh accepted a full-time scholarship to train at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City. She had many performance opportunities with renowned choreographers such as; Darrell Grande Moulrie, Shannon Gillen, Francesa Harper and others. Haleigh was the dance and choreography assistant to Guillermo Asca for the Ailey Professional Performing Arts High School Program (PPAS). Post-graduation, Haleigh began training with Martha Graham Dance Company and performing as part of Graham 2 as well as taking part in the Movement Invention Project and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet. In 2018, she returned to Canada to pursue artistic goals at home. Continuing her studies in Arts Administration and Cultural Management, Haleigh has had the opportunity to be a producer and curator for numerous dance festivals and events including Dusk Dances, Dance: Made in Canada, Fall for Dance North and the Together in Dance Festival. In addition, she is passionate about sharing her knowledge, training and professional experience in dance through education. Having taught for over 10 years at many renowned institutions, Haleigh brings a positive and enthusiastic attitude to her classes and can’t wait for the year to begin!
